Personal Data

In connection with the commencement of the General Data Protection Regulation (the GPDR) the focus on personal data according to law has increased. The GPDR was effective from May 2018 and caused sharpened obligations to everybody dealing with personal data. At the same time, the regulation introduced a considerably increased level of fines.

It may seem difficult to adopt the rules in a practical daily life, and if a company needs to adapt to the new rules, it might be an impossible process.

Codex Advokater can help you convert the rules into simple and practical guidelines. We can help you provide the requisite documentation dictated by the rules, e.g. in the form of data processor agreements, processing records, employee instructions etc. We can also assist you in connection with approaches from the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) or from data subjects wanting to exercise their personal data rights against you.

Implementing the new rules and training the employees to the new procedures may take a long time, and therefore we recommend that you seek our counsel in order to streamline the process as much as possible.

Moreover, Codex Advokater offers to give talks about personal data, i.a. as part of the company’s training of the employees.
